saxo vts engine problem advise please

fuel is getting into the engine fine just it wont tick over as i said before last time it i had to push start it with another car pushing me after that it started fine but as i only have my motorbike hint why its been off the road for so long i cant exactly push start it so any idea what it is or what i should change ? it tried to turn over but died now it wont even turn over as if u turn the key and nothing at all and yes the imobiliser was off when i tried to start it of else i get an annoying noise telling me cheers for any help btw its a vts 1.6 16v

That makes no sense. It turns over but wont start or it wont turn over?

ok ill explaine it a little better, i bought a second hand battery for it and charged it to full with my car battery charger, it tried to turn over 1st time but died liek the battery was going flat then second time it did the same after that it didnt even try t turn over as if the battery was dead yet i have power and everything seems fine otherwise im pretty sure the car can be bump started as for jump start i wont know for sure till tomoz

test the battery with the engine running, if it can be bump started your alternator may have gone.

how can i when i cant get the car to run? and i had to buy a new battery coz the other1 did die even my battery charger didnt want to know it, this is a old problem coz i had my car stored away for over a yr after having the gear box fixed it drove fine at the time got it back 2 days ago needed few bits like a new battery and nothing im going to try and jump start it tomoz also bump start it and see how it goes, it just wont turn over not even ticking over yet can hear the fuel getting to the engine fine so i know its not that but will check the starter motor 1st thing
