Is it common for older high milage VTR's to sound a bit tappity? What should I be paying to get the tappits adjusted?

mine taps as well, think its definitely common with the high mileage mk1's

should only get charged about 35quid if you get a garage to check/adjust the tappets.

Thanks guys will get mine booked in to local garage next week and get it sorted. Phoned Citroen main dealer service dept today asked for a quote to adjust them, he was convinced that all vtr's had hydraulic tappets and they wern't adjustable. Just shows what they know eh!
