Well, thought I would update this so a nice arty pic.
So I won myself some rare enkei ultra light weight ep3's and sanded welded and grinded out all the chips and curbing.
Then I went to Yorkshire powder coaters and they did this
Then over Easter I hit a pheasant on the way home from work so got the gf to sort it for me
And found the previous owner skimped on the paint so only painted the parts that are seen
Wanker!!!!!!!!
Anyways a nice peek at the engine bay and the 220bhp maker
Comments welcome

Pic of the engine is one from before the rbc, and kpro also has a cheap $108 cat back from the us of a and a jan speed 200 cell sports cat. The wheels do look standard but are nearly 1kg lighter than the Uk standard ones they have hollow backs to the spokes sorta why I like them, lighter but keeping the same looks.
Are you still doing the odd night up at teeside carting Nicole?

Not much progress on the type r in the past few months, got a company van so the car just sits on the drive.
But..... In the next 2 months
Full eibach coil overs
Jdm anti roll bars
Full respray in a custom mix of satin silver and pearls
But for now, a little engineering in the workshop and I made myself a short shift kit with no play out of a spare gear stick mech I got from eBay. Will upload a pic when I get home, image site won't load
I used nylon instead of the factory plastic to make the ball and bush so hopefully there will be no play for a long time to come

Yeah I love mine mate just so much fun, I just taken a tegiwa short shifter off mine, wasn't happy with it masking the problem rather than fixing it, the one I made should give the same amount of throw just with new bushings and a ball with about 0.5 MM. play on the bush so about 1mm play at the gear knob so a vast improvement

So the car got lowered today on eibach coil overs, currently lowered 35mm but may need to tuck the exhaust before any more lows. Well on its way to completion before Christmas now, also went and collected the custom pearl mix for the paint job
Next up is the full respray starting a week on Monday. A few parts will be smoothed and a few parts will be gloss black. The antenna on the roof was doing but it's impossible to get decent 4g glass antenna to use my iPad as the car radio.

All by weight all solvent paint in the uk is 1ltr per 1kg with exception of primer filler due to the high build epoxy content in it pretty easy tbh you can also get sticks with markings on them to give you the ratios but if using them you need a perfect cylinder to mix in.

Soon the car was painted the week before Christmas prepped pics of the car are as follows.
All door shuts and boot shuts have been re sealed welded and re painted with just a few parts from Honda needed to complete the job. The paint work is like glass and is what I would call a old school show class paint job, a massive thanks to Ian at pride paintwork in castleford.
Fully complete pics will be posted in the new year once the stickers and roof rails turn up from Honda (roof rails on special order from factory).

Well car was painted for a total of 2 weeks before one side needs doing again thanks to a huge unlit curb in the middle of a parking bay at McDonald's. Full side is damage and side skirt is snapped in 2.
The previous painter fucked me over with the prep work in the door shuts so currently finding some one to correct his fuck ups as well as fix the damage since I don't have the time or the patience any more.

So this is how the car looks now,
The paint is literally perfect!! Just waiting on 2x front lower arms, 2x hard race front ball joints, a steering rack raiser and a engine bay tegiwa washer kit.
Also looking into a fully copper/chromed can cover and induction pipe but that will be summer time for a couple of shows I'd like to visit.
Also just sorted the audio/visual set up. Running a pioneer double din hacked with a raspberry pi so I can watch Netflix and amazon prime in the car with access to Apple Music
Just needs a little paint.

New parts list of things needed:-
2x bottom arms
2x bottom ball joints
2x track rods
2x track rod ends
1x tegiwa rack raiser
Front pads + disks
Full alignment
All of this because the council fitted speed bumps around my house in the summer and literally every one is having problems with suspension on their cars.
