Thought I would put up a shot of the supercharger I took today and the disco potato sticker
and just to keep the thread up to date with everything the MOT fail report before I got it back after re test with a fresh 12 months MOT, 12 months tax oh and 12 months insurance.
offside rear position lamp not working
brake load sensing valve seized
offside front suspension arm has excessive play in ball joint
Advisorys
rear brake pads wearing thin
free play in steering rack
Got a few little niggly bits I want to get done over the weekend on the car so hopefully weather will be on my side and try and get a nice long drive to give car a goon run and get some running in miles on engine.

Cheers mate, I did have a look at the bolt that's near the heat shield and it doesn't seem to be touching it, just a few mms gap, although there is something in there that's knocking on something, need to have a good look tomorrow and hopefully find out what it is.

So after what was a worry with a knocking noise it appears it's the exhaust that's causing it so will get that looked at, panic over
Picked my omp strut brace up from garage that got left so had mechanic fit it.
Tried to re fit my front bumper spot lights but don't appear to have the screws to fit them
and only had 1 speaker working so sorted them out, tighten up a few loose screws on my door cards and emptied my glove box to stop the rattling.
Do seem to be getting some crackling noises from relays behind glove box if anyone can help with that.
Few more sneaky shots

Not much to report apart from fitted a battery cover to cover the White battery until I get it fitted behind passenger seat and I have just hit over 200 running in miles on the new engine
Other than that gonna get my fog lights back on and fitted and maybe get the heatshield looking a bit more cleaner, just going to focus on getting the engine run in then mapped and on boost before I spend anything else on it.

So has car back nearly 2 months now and I'm currently on 615 running in miles.
Was hoping I would have had it up to gmc by now and running boost but I've just got a new job and I work away during week and get a company van so car is only get used once or twice at the weekend at the minute.
So car will no longer be used as a daily but will now be used as a weekend toy and a weekend you only so I will enjoy it more now.
Will squeeze just under another 200 miles out of her then get it up to gmc for the mapping etc so hopefully February time. I hope lol

So today on way home my clutch went, so pulled straight over and after looking the plastic part that goes into the pedal part of the clutch cable had snapped.
So new clutch cable to be fitted and I've heard it's an absolute ball ache getting the plastic lug through the bulk head and into peddle.
All tips and advice appreciated

try tying the 2 cables together and pulling the old one out through the foot well. If all goes right you'll pull the new cable through with the old one.

Had to do it on my mates vts, we used a shoe lace threaded from inside then pulled it through as the angle and space was ridiculous.

Been following this for a while! Loving the progress on this!
Nice to see cars like this making it to the road!
Clutch cable is a bloody nightmare but if you stay calm and persevere you'll get there eventually!
Lots of arm down the back of the engine feeling for things you can't see and upside downing in the footwell

Thanks mate appreciated, Ye will give it a bash and see how I get in, if it ends up been a knightmare and getting the better of me will get it to garage round corner lol.
Iirc did you do a full rebuild on your 106, had it up for sale on eBay few weeks back mate?
If so what an awesome build some serious cash went in to it.
Do you still own it?

So gave RAC a call this morning had them out, guy changed the old plastic broken lug on end of the clutch cable but after 30mins had no joy getting cable through bulkhead, that tells me I wouldn't have stood a chance lol.
so at least I got a toe to the local garage let the experts do it lol.
