Rotrex here we come ...........

Posted 17th February 2010 at 12:49 by raunchz (Mk1 16v TB'd Westcoast)

I've decided to definitely go down the boost rout and am pretty much 100% going to be going down the supercharger route.

At the moment the rough spec of the engine is looking along the lines of:

- Rotrex C30/94 Charger with 100mm pulley
- GMC Supercharger brackets, pulleys and belt
- Piper 4-1 Manifold
- 'BTB' 2.5" Manifold back exhaust system
- Piper BP285 cams
- JP4 Head
- C2 VTS Metal inlet
- Either ATPower 55mm Throttle or Standard VTS throttle
- Wossner Forged Pistons
- PEC Forged Rods

Rolling roads and kwikfit garages!

Posted 14th February 2010 at 18:03 by Alanapone (Alanapone's VTR Progress Blog, feel free to comment)

The only things I wanted to get done before this weekend was get the front wheels balanced and tracked and extend the wires for the Lambda sensor so it will reach to the hole on the new mani.

So with that in mind and knowing that there were a few beers to be had this...

What is it about Saxo's?

Posted 13th February 2010 at 23:25 by -Jason-

Well for the past few months I have been driving everyday in a BMW 5 series but after putting a stone though the oil cooler and an anticipated £500 repair bill I have started using the VTS again and have instantly fallen in love with her again.

I have owned about 4 or 5 saxos now over the years among other french hatches and for some reason I absolutely love the VTS, just the chuckability of them and the power, ok there isnt massive amounts but its enough in standard form.

I havent come across another car so far that puts a massive grin on my face every time I drive...

The Carbon'b B16blog

Posted 2nd February 2010 at 19:34 by craig180 (The Carbon'b B16blog)

As some of you may know I'm a bit of a sucker when it comes to Saxos.

Ever since my first car, a 1998 Venetian red VTR back in 1999 I've (apart from a brief spell with the world of Blue Oval RS crew) never been without a Saxo.

So when I sold the last one (twice magazine cover and full featured), I thought it would be rude not to make space on the driveway for a full on balls out, mad as you like VTS.

So, when I learnt of a fully caged Mk1 black VTS going with only 58k on the clock and a streamline carbon roof a deal had to be struck. And it was!...
