Is there.....
Any "mods" you can do on a car without having to involve the insurance co. e.g debadging the boot. Do they regard that as a modification? Just thought I'd ask this cos I found out I'm not really allowed to modify my car on my current insurance policy but I'm desperate to modify my saxo. Any info/ideas much appreciated
Cheers, Rob

Any modification from standard should in theory be declared. It would be worth speaking with your insurers to see if there is a level of modification allowed.

You could hang a Magic Tree air freshener off the interior mirror.....I'm pretty sure that woud be allowed.

incorrect.
different companies will demand to know about different things
the likes of quinn only worry about performance enhansing and engine mods however zurich will need to know about everything ( and let you have none of them!!)

Suppose I'll just have to wait til next year for renewal time and then go with someone like Adrian Flux who specialise in modded cars. Just got to wait til I'm 19 as this is the min. age with some insurers. Cheers guys for your help

Tell them. If you do need to claim your insurance may be invalid and apparently you can be done for driving without valid insurance!! It's not worth it to not tell them. Just wait until it's renewal time and change company if they really won't allow mods
