Unhappy knocking sound

hi there does any one have any idea what the knocking sound is coming from drivers side front wheel every time i turn left

could be suspension related (wish bone, track rod end, worn bushes)
or driveshaft realted. (Dead shaft, worn CV Gaiter)

Check for any play in wheel movement (with car jacked up)
check for any Grease around wheels etc.
get a friend to move the wheel while you listen to the area in question.

cheers for your advice ive turned wheel when partner was under bonnet said that the only noise that sounds the same was the steering bar or somat like that bear with me as am female ha its was the big bar across the middle sorry if that dont make much sense when he gets home ill show him your reply cheers

It does sound as if it is something like wishbone or wishbone bushes to me.

I've got a knocking sound too.. Getting fixed on monday. £105! Something bout the driveshaft and the CV joint or summat.

hi this is a cool fourm . my car makes stupid knocking noises as well when i go over a bump but only when the im stearing other the bump i think it could be my anti roll bar bush or mabey my bearing alowing for the shaft to knock up ? does any one know of any good web sites for decent bushes for saxo 1.0 cant afford insurance for big engine lmao . iv had a look around and the best i can get is £33 for wish bone bush's and anti roll bar onces to not looked around for bearing as they cost around £40 for a kit


and £100 for a new drive shaft and to be fitted is not bad drive shaft usualt around £90 i had to replace myn got it from scrap yard £25 and fitted it my self
