First saxo, VTR, black 2000 x-reg, 114k miles, lowered with exhaust, not in the greatest conditions, paid £2000, got ripped off. But didnt know that then.
Just got a MK1 VTS, looks good, had it all fixed for £300, got 80k on the clock, with alloys and a VERY tidy engine bay, with private plate (on an r-reg), £1000.

Got mine last July at a hot-hatch specialist, 2001, 36k (at the time), VGC, FSH etc payed £3495. Quite a bit but it was a very good example of a standard VTS..

2003 plate vts, needed new rad, new wheel bearing, new drop link, new engine mount and new front bumper, 41000 miles.
Made the owner an offer of £1000 and got it, BARGAIN!
Cost me bout £400-£500 for genuine parts to get it rolling. Not bad i suppose
