LOL!
I always reccomend to 1.1 owners when performing conversions for them that we/they installed better brakes also.

yer all the suspension is not up to it either, at the very least upgrade the brakes to vented ones.

what i am planning VTS my 1.1, cost so much and it is soo much easier to buy a VTS but all in the fun off doing it to a 1.1, i am getting a 4 stud conversion and doing it all properly rather than a half job. VTS it mate dont bother with a VTR

Car(s): 106 WITH VTR engine! so kinda saxo :D
|
well i shoved a 1.6 onto my quiksilver, simply changed the engine. Right now it runs fine but im getting a remap to make sure fuelling/ignition is all good. But if you have a 1.1 gearbox I would change that as its gonna go bang with too much power!

a quicksilver ECU on a VTR engine?
Thats just asking for trouble.
why not just use the VTR ecu and loom?

well only the engine was up for sale from the scrappy, and I cant find any ECU's and looms on their own?? so a remap wouldnt be enough? as i said it runs fine right now with no mapping

a 1360cc MPI ecu is designed to run that engine, so it mapped for the correct fueling, to run what ever injectors it has, its running the ignition timing, which will be set in accordance to the camshaft that's fitted and emissions control.
its a toataly different engine.
and not being funny but you cant be looking that hard, and there not dear, jsut buy one.
you will find it amazing to drive after.
BUT i did run my 16v on a 1360cc ecu for about 3 seconds, till i realised that id forgot to change the ecu over, i didn't run to well lol, but did start.
