Default Help, Saxo Damage repair or Parts

I am having a little debate with myself atm about the westcoast i bought last week whether to break it for parts or repair the car. atm i am thinking of breaking it but first i have to see the extent of the damage (which i generally know) but anyways the main question was

How do i remove this panel which holds the radiator.

Thanx in advance.

You don't iirc - it's spot welded on.

The n/s chassis leg doesn;t look to healthy, prob best to split tbh - I saw a video on yotube of a car that had been crash repaired and a normal car crash, and the crash repaired one just crumpled up, whereas the normal one was okay i suppose - not worht risking tbh.

Once the 'crumple zone' has begun to crumple I'd look to either replace the chassis leg or split it up. Might be able to get some good money on mango parts, as they are rare'ish on the second hand market. Just my opinion on it.

As long as the chassis leg is not back,
the rad panel just requires a spotweld drill to remove
and weld new one on ,not a big job and beat the flitch
back to shape

Ok, i am trying to identify the calipers and discs as i believe they are not standard here are some specs.

270mm diameter disc 20mm thick vented.

Caliper - Lucas roughly 150mm x 30mm. Single Pot

Also i noticed on the struts "PEUGEOT" ??? they are Red springs and look pretty clean/new. ????

are these standard???

Thanx.

Ps i am not going to repair it i will break for parts so if any one wants some parts post here.

I'd be interested in some mango bits if you decide to split.

And, the brakes sound like something from a 206 GTi disks etc...

I think they may be from a 106 gti as someone may of just taken the front struts and brakes with it and bolted it on.

still very confused plse help. also the vtr wheels don't fit over the calipers because the calipers stick out too far to the side perpendicular to the motion of the disc

someone had probably put some 266mm calipers/discs on there - vtr alloys should still fit over them - I managed to get vtr alloys over my 266mm calipers.

The next step up is around 285mm calipers/discs which won't fit under vtr alloys, but I think are more than 20mm thick.
