when you do a drag race....
how long to you (realistically) slip the clutch for before it's fully engaged?
2 seconds maybe?
cheers,

not really that long. You want to engage as quickly as you can get away with then modulate the throttle to control wheelspin.

about .6 seconds??
i hold the car on the line with the handbrake and have the clutch sliping then, trying to pull away f you know what i mean.
then when the light goes green let off the clutch.

i always rev and blip the throttle rather than holding the revs at a set amount, so hardly anything at all.
less than a second anyway!

as agreed with KAM, i hold it slipping for less then a second and modulate the throttle to get rid of any wheel spin and traction loss.

I don't really do drag racing so wasn't entirely sure on how long the clutch was released over to be honest, but going over it in my head it seems about right

if its something you are seriously considering then get a limited slip diff as you will get off the line better
