Is something wrong with my fan??

Hello,
I bought my VTR recently had a few probs the most recent is my fan, it seems to come on all the time as soon as my temp gauge reaches half it kicks in which is fine but when i stop the car and arrive at where ever i am going when i turn my engine off the car fan kicks in is this normal?? I have never experienced this with any other cars and with me having sooo many problems up2 now i just want to double check this so i can put it to the back of my mind or get it sorted..

yes sometimes the fan will be on if the engine is hot even though the car may be locked up, the fan will cut out when the engine has cooled down sufficiently

so i shouldnt be worried about it then??
Just since i bought the car 2 weeks ago i have had the following,

Snapped rear axle
worn front suspension arms
needed a new alternator
multiple engine faults with management system
Snapped exhaust
corrodid brake discs
worn brake pads front and rear
2 split rear tyres and 2 front worn tyres
Needed a new coil

still having on-going problems with engine management system, i thought there might of been something wrong with the fan lol just thought id double check lol

nah my old vtr used ot do it all the time, and its common.

the joys of owning a french car, think yourself lucky, mine has cost me 500 in the past four weeks and thats not including the engine i bought yesterday for 400quid that im fitting next week lol

Lol i have spent £1300 upto now made the mistake of taking it to main dealers for a few things now i am getting wise and taking it to back street garages and getting mates to do alot lol i got ripped on this car lol by the time i have finished i would of built praticly a brand new car lol and to think i bought this new car to replace my old clio coz i thought it would be more reliable lmao
