Second hand furniture?
Ok so I'm moving out pretty soon..
Got the new job and just waiting to start.. Signed up with the council for shared ownership on a brand new apartment or house, whatever they can get me.
Been looking around for second hand furniture, obviously I'm going to have to start off cheap with second hand stuff until I can afford new things.
Does anyone know any websites I can use for this (apart from Ebay).
Many thanks.

look around in local newspaper chap, try your local tip (i know but ul be suprised) plus have a look in the all the charity shops. When i first moved out i was amazed out how many ppl had furniture they didnt want, half of it was free anywho they were just going to tip it, so word of mouth cant hurt.
Gud luck with the new place, only word of warning with shared ownership is every year they put the rent up but a good £30 or so. You getting a fixed mortagage?

I have a dinningroom table and chairs going btw. Bought from argos about 6 months ago, used a handful of times for poker evenings. Its beach, and will able to flatpack. If u want it its urs for £20 or a large can of plastic primer, white paint and laquer.

I don't see the point personally?!
Just take whatever furniture you have in your room at home, then whatever else you need on top buy as and when you can afford it. You probably just need lounge and kitchen/dining room stuff. Get cheap ikea sofa & tv stand, cheap ikea kitchen table and chair set! I've got a small store full of ikea furniture, enough to furnish about 4 houses LOL Just furnished a whole 5 bed house with furniture in a day!!!

try freecycle
from what I've been told it's people who no longer have a use for their items and are willing to give them away, providing you can pick them up
