Default piper + supersprint

Dunno if this is the right area, but fitted my new piper 3.5" back box today to my supersprint center, it wasnt the best of fits as both connections were the same unlike the old vtr back box, was just wondering if this was ok, and has any1 else got the same setup?

I fitted exactly the same recently mate with no problems. With the piper box i got a fitting kit including an "o" type metal ring with sits inside and goes between the 2 ends. Put some exhaust paste around this, place it in, then clamp with an olive clamp as you would normaly, and you will have an airtight seal

Just had a little search and cant really see anywhere where you can buy it separately.I fitted my old exhaust without it though, just put loads of paste on the 2 ends and clamp tight with the olive clamp.

Yeah its quite loud but not over the top. I've got the straight through s/s centre section with decat and no silencer. Gets very raspy over 3000rpm and pops and bangs quite a lot. That's on a vts so not sure if will be same on a vtr

If you can take the back box off, take it to any motor factors or exhaust place.

And ask for an olive to suit this.

Thats what I did anyway.
