dodgy mots tut tut, i like having an mot makes me feel a little safer knowing my car isnt dangerous considering i drive it everyday, the place i take mine to hates modified cars with a passion as the owner is a rally driver he looks down on loud chavvy cars, me and my brothers always go there though because if your car passes there you know its 100% safe, they once failed it on having a teddy hanging off the rear view mirror so they actually failed it when they could have just said take it off lol but i like the owner and he does me really good deals some times he gets me parts trade price so he doesn't make a penny off it, but thats because he knows i will always take my car there, he spent 5.5 hours doing my torsion bar and only charged me £50 such a decent bloke

When i say dodgy i just mean, can get the immision tester up another cars exhaust.nothing else is dosgy about it.last time it was mot'd my pal failed it on torsion bar.had to get a new one on.
Should i buy a decat pipe or do it the cheap way and smash the cat out the box??

no dont just smash it out wont work any where near as good as a standard decat i cant remember why but there was a thread on why you shouldnt do it

only reason it would be drinking petrol is if your foot is more heavy than normal, decat should make your mpg better as there is less resistance to the escaping exhaust gases...

Really!? Are we talking 0.5-1 mpg or more significant? The way prices are at the moment you can get the de-cat to pay for itself if it saves a lot on fuel. Might also convince the skirt to let me get one

I smashed the insides of an old cat out today and fit it on my car. Its much more responsive and doesn't feel flat anymore. Gna get a proper decat pipe now. Should be pretty nippy when i get my 1.1 box on
