My Home Built VTR - SaxP's first and only Carbon Sunroof! Pg7 (just for mark1311)
As you may or may not know, I used to own this...
Which ended up like this
And is about to be scrapped this satdy
So after my old VTS rotted away I thought I'd go for a newer one,
This one!...
87'000 on the clock, as you can see it has a few choice mods... hmmm
Paid 1140 for it, but it does have a couple of marks on the bodywork, namely this!
So first few mods are...
Change the alloys, not sure what with yet.
Get some standard rear lights
Put my 266mm brakes on it
Put on the powerflex bush kit I never opened
Put my bucket seats in and take out the interior
And theres a suspension kit in the post (Gaz GHA)
Then to be honest I'm just going to enjoy driving the thing for a while.
Whilst in the background I'm going to build a mild spec VTS engine and swap sometime next year probably! Thinking keeping it PH3's but with throttle bodies, or may got the whole hog and swap pistons/rods and put some wilder cams in there. Time will tell.
The bodywork will probably get tweaked over the year as well, nothing too extreme, just some subtle tweaks.

I'll have them if theyre Mk2's?! Cheers
I've got 2 different sets of wheels already, some steelies with a brand new set of T1R's on and some gold Rota's that have knackered tyres to be honest. Think I'm gonna just leave these alloys on in this weather though!
Will be getting lowered soon

Looks alright Josh, but loads of room for improvement You still got most of your bits from the vts to go on it?

Theres only the bit of paint missing on the front arch and that bad scratch at the back, its just a bit dirty! I'm not touching the paintwork until late spring though. Not with the weather the way it is!

Ooooww please then mate if theyre Mk2's! Cheers! Does look high! And I'm just gonna run these wheels until the weather picks up. I'm thinking of a crazy colour to paint the steelies though... purple?!

Right boys and girls, I decided to change the Uni Jap backbox that was on the car!
Oh, and the rear lights have been put back to standard (thanks to Juggylugs )
So, went from this -
To this
To this
To this!!!
Not entirely happy with how it sits, but the original bumper has melted a bit where the old can sat. And that bumper has a big scratch in it. So gonna pull the bumper off my old car and get that resprayed. Still points at an angle though, which I dont like.
It blows a bit at the manifold joint, once its sealed up I'll post a video up. Supersprint Race Pipe with OMP back box. Sounds nice and quiet so far
Lowering kit is in the post apparently (Ordered at snow time ), so once thats here I'm gonna overhaul the lot and change the brakes/suspension at the same time.
Rollcage on the weekend too!
Please feel free to leave any comments! (Dont worry, its getting a nice clean on Sunday so I'll take some pics with my camera, and not my phone, on the weekend)
Oh, and exhaust for sale! £20 collected?
