is this anything to worry about? its on the drivers side footwell where the bottom of the door meets.

poke it with a screwdriver, if it goes through, yes it is smething to worry about
might be more behind the vt kit

just tried poking it, its solid still.

what can be done to stop it progressing?

its literally just on the surface. looks like its just the start of it, want to try catch it before it gets worse.

The only thing you can do is sand/cut back to bare metal & paint it again.

I wouldn't bother with that tbh.

Think you can apply Krust, its like a rust treatment turns the rust out.

You can get rust treatment stuff yeah, loads of types they will clean it up/slow down the rusting but the only way of resolving is replacing the metal unfortunately.

The bodyshop that looks after my car has acid he wipes on rust that takes it back to bare metal..

I'd recommend trying local painters asking if they'd acid it for you then just hammerite it or somthing your self..

that acid you talk about is actually zink phosphate comes in wipes or comes in a 1ltr tin to apply with a brush.

not cheap but deffo does the job and will never come back once treated with it.

The Guy was telling me its either banned or theyre trying to ban it as its not good for you using it all the time ie in trade..

Worked amazing in my boot well!

that's the stuff its been banned due to the voc content and saving the world you can still buy old stock though.
