Sony's Playstation Network Hacked (ID theft, Bank Details ETC)
Hey guys.
instead of posting this up in the gaming section im posting it here as the gaming section doesnt get to many views and this is kind of important tbh.
Sony's Playstation network (PSN) Has recently been hacked, but it has now just come to light that sensitive information such as names, addresses, credit & debit card details etc may have also been stolen.
for the full low down from sony them selves please click to two links below (worth having a read tbh)
The Official Announcement From Sony
FAQ's From Sony
I have personally sent for a new bank card just to be sure, i meen yes there are 70m odd people who use the PSN network but who knows how many bank details they got!!
Thanks,
Karl.

Woah.
I use my wallet for PS store quite a bit which has my bank details attached.
It still says PSN is having maintenance done, it's said that for days!
What should I do lol?

Apparently the hackers admitted it wasn't them that brought the network down... so imo this could be a front from Sony to pretend it was the hackers. I wouldn't be surprised if all the peoples information is safe after all. If not, whooops.

if anyons money is stolen sony will be liable, tbh i wouldnt b surprised if sony were fined serious amounts of money for this being permitted to happen in the first place

More than one group of hackers in the world dude, just because anon. are denying responsibility, doesn't mean no one else has done it.

Sony are already being taken to the cleaners by one company. An American Senator is also demanding that all PSN members are given two years free access to the credit records, funded by Sony of course!
