someone asked about this yesturday i think it was, use the search but no you don't have to not many people do change them its just better handling if you do as the original shocks are ment to be constant that low

Well if you are going 60mm i would change the shocks beacuse it will be a crap ride and the shocks you got on there now will only last a year tops before they go...So if i was you i would mate it worth it if your going 60mm!

yeah no its no, its just a shit make spring. feels very much like standard, isnt stiff at all. With standard shocks i imagine the ride would be pretty crap. lowest id go on standards are the 45mm eibach springs

You should replace the shocks/dampers for anything less than 40mm.
However, if you're wanting to just get them on as a very temporarily measure until you can afford new ones then they can be used, there is technically nothing stopping you from fitting them.
Ride quality will be poor though. Id never ever recommend anyone to fit 60mm springs without dampers, however determined individuals will always continue to do it regardless of advice given.

For a very good quality budget suspension kit (2x front springs, 2x front dampers, 2x rear dampers) you can't go wrong with the Apex kit (£220 delivered give or take a little) or the Spax VSX (£240ish) both of which are available from Kamracing.co.uk
The Apex kit is the better quality kit despite the cheaper price.
You will not get a good set of coilovers for under £500 and even then that would be for a custom type setup. Off the shelf items theres a few available but its a case of how deep if your wallet and is it really worth it as 60mm isnt really track orientated so for normal A to B running about coilovers you could argue are a pointless expense

coilovers are like £450+
bit of a waste really if the cars not being slammed or going on track
