basically i brought a second hand set of 6000k h4 hids and had them fitted on my volvo s40 but got rid of that and put them on my 306.
what problem is
when i put my lights on dipped beam the actual bulbs are on high beam and when i switch to high beam the bulbs switch to dipped beam. seams to me like a simple wiring issue but believe me i have been head scratching all day.
they worked fine on the volvo. it could be an earth issue as the earthing points on the 306 are shit so need to really earth them better.
basically they are a universal set so just plug and play. also which way round do the bulb relective cover hats go under the bulb or above at present they are below as believe this is the only way they fit

That's really bizarre.. it almost certainly sounds like a wiring issue there. Check them again just in case some wires are fitted incorrectly :/
I wouldn't have thought it would be an earthing point, as they're working fine - just backwards. But then again I could be wrong, just thinking off the top of my head
