Smile Ger's Saxo East Coast 1.0i - Leafy!

Right!

Made a thread about this before but decided to make a fresh one on it.

Bought this about 5 months ago; 67,000 on the clock, stunning condition, runs perfect, £500. Yeah it's slow, but it was meant to be a 'run around'. Trouble is I've got a huge soft spot for it since having it, and want to keep improving it!

Here's the car:
(It's named Leafy, thanks to my sister, who also looked at it and instantly shouted "Viva La Leafy!" due to it being french.)

I've fixed every button, feature, light and mechanism on the car - happy to say that everything works as it should, and there's no "Meh, have to fix that soon" in the back of my mind.

Things I've done:

- 6000K HID's with custom made glare shields.
- VTR spoiler (done by previous owner)
- LED white side lights
- Aero flat windscreen wipers
- New number plates
- New wheel trims (for now)
- Re-sprayed rear badges silver

Things I want to do:

- VTR front bumper (with sides tucked in) - OR - Desire bumper (green colour coded with fogs).
- Smart 3 stud alloys (Possibly 106 'snipe' alloys)
- Swap clock for rev counter dials
- Change dial lights to white
- Mk2 rear jewels
- Projector 'Angel Eye' headlights
- Colour coded black trim (Similar to Desire models)

Well that's that for now! I don't want to do TOO much to it - I'm not going to keep it forever, and want to make things subtle.

So what do you think? Suggestions? Opinions on future plans?

Cheers

This looks good mate

You should smoke the front lights as well though, it completely changes the look of the car, oh and de-wiper it

You sure smoked front headlights would suite a dark green car?

I've seen a few cars with compomotive alloys and lowered. They look great, but I'm not sure I'm willing to do it - not sure how long I'm keeping the car!

Thanks guys to be honest I'm not a fan on having smoked rears on this one. I think it would be too dark. I do like these though:

M3 Style lights

Could add these to clean it up?

I've been SO tempted by this - has anyone got any pictures of de-wipered saxos WITH the Mk1 VTR spoiler? I'd de-wiper it if it didn't have one or had the Mk2.. not sure how it would look should give it a try though!

Might be getting the VTR front bumper in about a week or so!

I'm not a fan of the Mk1 spoiler, the guy who had the car before me put one on. I'd much rather the Mk2, but I don't want to take this one off in case it'll damage the paint. As far as I know he's plastered it with tiger seal.. would it damage the paint if I take it off?

Just out of interest what camera / lens are you using to take the pics of your car? Love them!
