You might be able to through your bank, have a look on their website. Watch out for fees, such as transactional and monthly. Also duties dont forget.

I have a corporate account for work, so its slightly different.

I think highstreet it used to be 10-15 pounds a month and about the same again for buying/selling. try Halifax share dealing.

I don't really deal in shares as its more long term, I.e. 5+ years, unless an opportunity presents itself...

Hoe much are you looking to invest?
i trade about 10 to 20 or so times a day, all depends on whats happening.

I think long term it will prove to be a wise investment, i would buy in 1k blocks, otherwise you will lose say 10 or so pounds each time in fees.

i would get a diverse portfolio going, that way will be less risky.

Alot investors don't actually have any idea what they are doing, they are pretty much just gambling their money. Nothing particularly wrong with this, just if you dont keep an eye on the markets everyday you could lose your money very quickly.

You get a little addicted when you are constantly looking at how well your portfolio of stocks are doing lol
