Warm hatch options?
Been round all the forums and now im back to the old dependable one, dont let me down guys lol
I know theres a million posts about choosing a new car, and a couple from myself, but its always easier if its personal
Basically looking to get rid of the 1.2 clio Dynamique because i cant put up with the gutless engine anymore, its a shame cos its a lovely car everywhere else imo
The other forums helped me make a list and i went and got some quotes on them all just to see where i stand (18, 1 year NCB)
C2 VTS - £1003
Lupo GTI - £1238
Fiesta ZS MK6 - £939
Fiesta ST - £1646
106 GTi - £1561
Yaris T Sport - £895
Corsa SRi - £1096
Ignis Sport - £1114
Thought i had settled on the ZS but i went over to ZSOC and most were saying its a car to make it look good rather than a car for some power and fun, and this time i want power, but the ST is still a bit too much to insure tbh, ultimately wanted a clio 182 but was quoted 2300, no way im going back up to that much now its down to 850 so ill wait but need an inbetween car, theres a list, what do you all reckon?
Ideal Spec
Air Con
Trip Computer
Space for golf clubs
35+ MPG unless its cheap as to insure
0-60 around 8

C2 fits everything, its just not the best looking thing ever, not too bad tho tbf
If i can somehow insure the st for 1400 ill go with that but lets see what everyone says
I need 100 posts so i can look on the for sale here too lol

Personally out of the choices u listed, I'd go for the lupo gti or 106 gti
A mates got a zs and performance is crap for what it is, c2s I've heard rolls to much round corners and wouldn't even consider any of the others apart from the St
Might also be quite hard to find an unabused low mileage 106gti though

Not tried a quote on a Suzuki Swift Sport? They're fun cars.
C2 out your list, it's probably the fastest thing on the list too bar the 106

IMO id have the 106 as being older, smaller and less safe its going to make you feel like your going faster! like the lupo's spec but i assume you have a penis and its a vw so fuck that. Fords are 10 a penny and the vts has a nice engine. is more modern but id have the 106 if i had the choice! .... do a qjote on an s14 cheap for me!! and you get more out of that than anything!

Get a fiesta st, mine is cool lol
Quite reliable as well. Er can't really help that much more as mine isn't standard. Although I did have a clio 172 again it wasn't standard but I much prefer my ST over the clio I had.

Couple recommended it so i got a quote and i think it was just over 1000 iirc
Kind of against the lupo as its so expensive for what it is, the 106 isnsurance is quite alot but obviously its the cheapest to buy, and shit on petrol
What is an s14? only s14 i know is the silvia surely thats not cheap

id be going for the corsa C sri, im taking it that is the 1.8 version your on about? if your after performance then tahts got to be the logical choice with the cheapness and ease of putting a Z20 or C20 in there

Twingo was on the list but i took it off cos didnt really want to spend that much on a car thats just an inbetweener for now
The corsa SRi, would it keep up with the C2 and 106? and has it got some decent sporty suspension or is it the standard twinport shit?

Corsa sri's are utter dog shit tbh, surely just save some more money for a year = more ncb and more money saved for a decent car.
I remember when i was 18 and wanted a really fast car, it suddenly dawned on me that it would cost stupid amounts, just be patient is my advice, then reap the benefits after a year or two.

I've an Astra SRI, same engine as the corsa, goes well for what it is, has stiffer suspension and lowered 20mm as standard, corsa should be the same. £245 for a years tax

Out of interest, how much is a saxo VTS to tax for a year going up to in april?
the price last year was pretty ridiculous IMO considering the car... and one of the reasons for selling up.
