Default Mk1 Persian Red Westcoast

Starting a new tread as my last one was a mess and I couldn't understand it.

Bought my wee Saxo Westcoast back in October, has 141k on the clocks with 98k on the engine

When I bought the car;

Had to replace the front drivers side hub so when out to the scrap yard and got a replacement strut.. Car also had a leaking sunroof and a fairly sized hole behind the drivers ‘c’ pillar. Sunroof is fixed haven’t got round to fixing the rust yet

What I’ve done to the car so far;

First thing I done was de-wipered the rear (Badges are now back on as they were off when I bought the car)

Fitted my new wind deflector and standard wing mirrors (Thanks to an xmas prezzie from my girlfriend)

Also bought angel eyes of rorz_vts

And I bought a new front grill and Raceland induction kit just waiting for them to arrive.

What do use think on painting the grill black with red chevrons? Or just painting it red?

Comments Welcome

Had rust under the fuse box but it was fixed by the previous owner none under ecu. I haven't seen any other that colour in northern ireland before.

Also a small update;

Removed the golf splitter of the back! No pics with the bumper back on the car.

With it on

With it off

What do use think on or off?

Also received my new grill today but the lights don't seem to sit in it right, any idea's why this would be?

Welcome to the fun of having a Persian Red, I cannot find a colour match at all. Only way you could get remotely close would be to get a body shop to make some up. With your angels I had some a while ago and I couldnt get them to match up, one sat in more than the other. Also there was a noticable gap between the light and the bonnet, might have just been my car or may be the lights.

Been a while since I updated this, not much has been done. Got a new grill which is getting sanded atm going to paint it black. Also bought a raceland induction but i need a slightly longer bit of silicone to fit it correctly

I know the engine bay is a mess but its getting tidyed up soon. Sticking to the red and black theme what bits should i paint a what colour? IDEAS

also doe's anyone know where this is coming from or what the cause is?
