Which oil is correct for a saxo vtr 1.6
I've been sold oil from a shop for my saxo vtr 5w / 30 fully synthic
This is wrong am I right ???
because my mate buyed some last month and his car taps like mad
Plus inlet tapets are set to 0.20mm and exurst is 0.40mm
I've been told to set the exurst to 0.30mm quits the car down alot

Set the tappits to what they should be, any closer and when it heats up and expands it wont shut the exhaust valve properly and youll burn it out, i put 10-40 in mine but im pretty sure people on here put 5-30 in and its not a problem

Ok cheers I think 5w 30 is far to fin that's why it taps a lot I justed now adjusted tappets to inlet 0.20mm and exurst to 0.40mm not 0.30mm aint try it and as said above i wont try it .but I think when I tited the nut up I mite of move the cental thread a tad . the feeler gauge
When doing it it should be stiff with a little play on feeler shouldn't it
to spec ??

If your forcing the feeler gauge in its too tight, should be friction there, a little bit more than a pinch... Make sense?

Yeah mate you knOw when undo the 10mill nut and the little sockit on the centre pin thread to a just.
what I mean is when you insert the feeler gauge in the gap then screw it down to spec .do u remove the feeler gauge then tight it up .
or tight it up with it in Place I.e the feeler gauge .then remove it .

Me personally take it out, i use a spanner for the stud and another for the nut... More accurate that way
