Default Lets talk driveshafts

Since I discovered my n/s cv joint was dry I packed it with grease blah blah blah but it was obviously to late to save it. Therefore it's going to need replacing.

Can you give me any advice on which one to buy as a replacement, I don't want a cheap ebay special, but I don't need anything too pricey either. Places to buy from as well.

Also do you usually get the oil seal and nut with a new one or does it just depend?

nope, gearbox seals have to be bought separate.

Yes it comes with a new nut.

I've done 34,000 miles on a £30 ebay shaft. no knocks, the boot is starting to perish a little bit though.

Just get one from the motor factors, they're about £80, if you don't want the cheapest shite

I was hoping to pay around the £50 mark really, don't really want cheap but for £30 and 35k miles I could be convinced. Not as if I hammer my motor everywhere anyway.

Are gearbox seals the same across the range? Or does the R & S have any differences?

Cheers boys, I'll just go with one of them. If your using them and happy then there's no reason not to use them. Driveshaft from them and a seal should come in just under what I want to spend.

Cheers again
