Default Hello Everybody

Hello there, New member here. Just bought a Saxo 1.6 VTR on a 53 plate. When I bought it the rear window wiper had been taken off. Chap I bought it off said it had packed in. Currently there's a bit of tape over the hole. If I nip to a scrapyard and look for one, will any rear wiper from a Saxo do? (only asking as it's a VTR and I dunno whether the wiper is the same across the range)
I'm sure I'll have further questions regarding Saxo's, but have started with a fairly easy one to start with.
Cheers

John

A lot of people remove the rear wiper for looks anyway. You can get a bung to put in the hole rather than tape.

However, to answer your question and saxo one will do. Even one from a 106. If you do put one on, just remember blades for mk1 and mk2 are different sizes.

Thanks Mick, I'm worried that it might fail it's next mot if there's no wiper on though. My dad's convinced that it has to have one fitted to pass (but he's 83 and his mind wanders ever so slightly)

Stupid question,, Where would I get a plug/bung from to cover the hole in the glass where the rear wiper was? And what size do I need?

You can buy pack of various size grommets from halfords and one will fit.

Or one of these off eBay http://bit.ly/Mr8koL
