Just got a Saxo
Ive just bought my first car which is an 03 saxo desire, im just wondering what I can do to it to make it look good cheaply without effecting insurance as such, so far I have just got stickers and interior accessories like seat covers etc.
Any ideas?
Cheers

if it's standard atm, don't do anything with it what so ever. It'll be worth more when you come round to getting rid of it.
If your really fussed, get some tiger seal and a saxo spoiler, bang it on the back.
Get some alloys on it, just keep your steels incase insurance ask for photos (when you crash if its your first car)
and if you're really really really fussed, just lower it 30mm. If you intend to ferry your mates about, leave it standard.
Your best bet is just servicing it which is piss easy, and improving it by bringing it back to factory performance.
If your bought it from a garage and they said they'd serviced it, they're probs lying. JUst do it yourself. New oil, new filters ( air, fuel, oil) jobs a goodun

I would just stick to maintaining it until you get experience and ncb to get yourself a VTR or VTS or maybe even a reliable car.

Why so much hate on flat arches? Every thread on Sax-p involving a 1.1 is always "stick a vts lump in"... "Buy a Vts/R" everyone has to start someone guys.....

GTI Half leathers, pretty cheap, look amazing and very comfy. OEM+ kinda too so insurance wouldn't change much i wouldn't imagine.

Already been mentioned above, Peugeot 106 GTI half leathers, best looking mod for the interior imo.

106 interior, heres one of mine, if you cant do anything to the outside or the engine you can make sure it looks nice from the inside!

Don't listen to anyone who says 'don't do anything to it' or 'buy a vtr/s'
Because since it's your first car, although it will probably be a waste of money in the long run, everyone has to do mods to their first car. It's just natural!
It's a way of experimenting with modding and styling.
(Eg... Everyone starts off with Lexus lights, and ends up with smoked ones)
So do what you want, it's your car and money at the end of the day

Whatever size you like the look of?
Generally 15" wheels provide the best handling. Larger compromises the handling.
