Best portable gaming console?
Hi guys,
I'm looking for some sort of mobile gaming device, but not being big on gaming I'm not sure where to start.
I've started spending most of my life in hotel rooms, so I just want something I can play a variety of 'proper' games on. I'm not interested in arcade games.
I also don't want an ipad, ive got one and it's useless for games because it's got no buttons!
What would you recommend? I've looked at the Vita but the selection of games looks a bit plain (I'm mostly into racing games)

If you're in hotel rooms can you not plug a console into the tv? Just get a ps3 and have a selection of video leads?

Theoretically, yes I could. But I'm literally ALL over the place and I can't be arsed with the faf of carrying it around, hoping the tv will be compatible and spending next to £50 for a game lol. I just want something I can pull out the bag and play, ideally.

psvita? get the one with the 3g sim and go online etc too. theres plenty of games on the ps store to download. from psone, indie etc.

Are there more games on the store? I've never used one before and I'm somewhat clueless about gaming. I've looked on the GAME website and their selection of racing games is somewhat slim (13 of them!)
I thought the Vita was supposed to have a large selection of play station games, but I can't see that lol.

I've had a look at them and hardly any are of real interest to me. Trying to compare all the handheld ones they all seem to have pretty basic games except for a few titles. I might see if I can find one second hand one or something and give it a bash, I can't justify almost £200 for something I'm unsure about.

I actually used to have one of those! It was the worst phone I've ever had, on all accounts. Having to hold it on its side when making a phone call was just embarrassing lol!

£200? I paid £150 for mine and it was the 3g sim and extras lol.
On a plus i can lie in bed and play my ps4 games through it.
I don't know what else tbh.

Meh, probably closer to 200 when I've bought games and what not with it.
Are they unlocked to any network? For instance if I put the sim from my 3 phone in there with unlimited interweb - would it work? I know a lot of these things are heavily locked down lol.
I've looked at the Nvidia but I think that's pretty just mobile games?
