Default Whining saxo :(

Hey all new to the forum and new to saxo's, just purchased my first saxo today, ( 1.4 furio ) it's making a whining noise which sounds like it's coming from under the o/s of the engine? Whines on tick over and when accelerating, the noise is constant too, done a bit of googling and some people say timing belt some say alternator and some suggested power steering? I'm going to video it tomorrow and upload it, it's had its cambelt And head gasket done in December so not sure if it's timing belt? Drove home faultlessly and was really surprised how nippy it was, I know it's hard to diagnose without seeing / hearing it but if it's something common somebody on here might have a rough idea? Thanks in advance

Most likely crankshaft pulley or alternator belt, alternator itself could be worn as well.

I'm taking the alternator belt off tomorrow, hopefully if the whining stops ill replace the alternator, a mate of mine said the cambelt tensioner might need backing off slightly, ill report back on here tomorrow with my findings
