Default DVD/CD-Rom drive! Help please?
I am currently having problems with my dvd/cd-rom, it is not even coming up in My Computer. I have checked device manager and there is a yellow circle next to the dvd/cd-rom device and there is a message sayin "Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37)"

Can anyone help me get this back up runnin? Do i need to update the driver?

Scroll down and read, starting at the beginning of the thread and working your way slowly and methodically to the bottom of the page.

You could try this page then for the registry hack.
