Rub down with fine wet & dry paper first, then spray with plastic primer(2-3 coats)let dry fully then another light rub down then spray with top coat of your choice(2-3 coats) let it dry overnight light rub down again & then spray with a couple of coats of clear lacquer.Alternatively some DIY stores sell plastic spray paint so u need not prime.

Steve.

i made a mistake of not sanding or cleaning it with some spirits because i used that cockpit shine and it left marks on when priming and paining!! made a right mess so got to sand it down propa this time
