Exclamation seat is loose!!!!!!

hey guys, my drivers sear has been a little loose for a while now, on the front left hand side, as of yesterday both front areas have become loose to the point where when i accelerate my seat leans back!! ive been told its a common fault for the saxo seats to come away from the floor and need welding back down and ive been quoted 160quid to sort this out!!!

isnt it just that the screws have come loose?? i dont have a torque screw driver tho so im abit stuck, and is that a high price for a tad bit of welding??

"""EDIT""" they are cobra monaco S buckets seats

Your best bet is to rock the seat backwards and forwards whilst you look at the mounting points under the seat to see if the bolts are moving. If so, just tighten the bolts up, just buy a torx set, they aren't that much.

If it is something more serious that requires welding, £160 does seem a little steep imo.

Does the whole seat frame move up and down the bolt shaft?

It's not safe in this condition. Any crash and your seat may break loose from its mountings. It's a bit of an arse, but get it checked and sorted sooner rather than later.

Facial injuries are never ftw.

Strip it out yourself then get them to weld it, surely that should have a lot of money.

its just seems to be the bolt but the actual frame lifts up on that side at the front obviously with it being loose, and the side nearest the door, the middle part of the slider seems to be moving aswell!

Try tightening the screw up a bit. Torx bits are only like a fiver or something. Got to be worth a try surely
