Probably Simple k&N induction kit question
hi , hope this is an easy q and only going to cost a couple of quid to sort.. got a k&n induction kit but when i came to fit it i need something to attach a pipe that was going into the old one , has a hole in the k&n's pipe for it but it dosnt reach and dosnt look like it will fit , i expect im missing some sort of adapter that was missing when i bought it but if anyone on here knows what it is i need can you let me know ,

i assume you mean the crankcase breather hose, if so you've got 2 options, u'll just need a hose connector to connect it to the k&N unless its two short otherwise u'll need a longer hose too
alternatively you can block up the hole on the k&n and pipercross make a breather filter for crankcases (jst like a tiny cone filter)
think option 1 is better for the engine tho not 100% on that

lol might give it a little clean when i get this sorted, looked a someone elses on here who had a different hose going to it , looks like im going to need a longer hose anyway but could do with some more info before i buy and attempt to fit it , might see if i can get someone from local garage to come round and have a look to see if they have anything that would do the job.

you're actually missing one plastic bit and a rubber bit for the filter.

hi , thanks so far i now have an idea of what i need to do , where would i get a longer hose and connector or if i did the second option how would i block the holes on the k&n and is it supposed to have more holes in round the other side ? or should i block these too?

i do believe saxos have 2 breather hoses so there should be a hole for each one, halfords have hoses don't no where ud get the connector from tho citroen or a scrappy id think as for blocking the holes doesnt really matter what you use as long as your engine cant suck in flies an crap through them

thanks , when i removed the old standard filter stuff there was only the one breather hose however there is another similar sized hole on the other side of the k&n's tube, maybe its different on the 1.1 mk2's. and i suppose duck tape will do to block the other holes as well
will go through to halfords tomorrow and look for a hose. unless i can get the origonal sent from teh person i bought it off.

That hole is meant to be there on the KN filter pipe, mine has just been sealed up with duck tape, loads of it, got to be air tight, and i bought a oil breather for 3.99, works perfect
