i thought it made the handling better when i did mine at first, feels alot lighter and more nimble. acceleration is quicker depending on how much you strip out, yes it is louder but upto you at the end of the day

makes handling better mate, you just have to change your driving style a little to compensate for the new weight distribution.

just a point... what colour paint you going to use?
seeing as your talking about "striping"
not
"stripping"
got two p's
confused me thats all
and imo its too cold and not worth it if its an everyday driver

Makes handling worse.
It does if he only guts the rear, like I did.... Had the back end step out several times when stripped the rear and didnt have much fuel. With nothing in the back and all the weight at the front of the car, engine, driver, the back end is alot more lively

Learn to comepensate for and control it. overal the handling is better. jeremy clarkson said on top gear that the 306 gti will be your best friend as the back end comes out easily with lift off oversteer but you know its going to happen so you are read and its fun....

yea exactly, it doesnt make it worse youve just gotta know how to drive it. Cant expect it to just 'handle better' without changing the way you drive.

You dont want lift off oversteer on a bend doing 60, when previously been able to do 15-20mph more over the same bend with abit more weight in.
I can control it, but decided if there was a car coming opposite direction and i've got the back end out, i'll be fucked.
Stripped out for abit of track use yeah, but not for everyday commuting on the the roads.

if you dont 'lift off' on the bend you wont get it mate.....which is why you change your driving style. if 60 is excessive and you cannot make it round the bend without lifting off you have not compensated for the characteristics of the car and mis judged your speed
plus i was just using the 306 as an example of why the back end being lively isnt nescessarily a bad thing

as said, if you learn how to drve with a light back end it does imporove handling imo, when i first ran stripped i proper shit myself with a bit of lift off oversteer, but you get used to it and can work out when/if its going to happen

you lot are all complainging of lift off oversteer, its he most fun thing ever lol
Enter a round bout at 50-60mph turn in and lift off a little, just for a split second then wack on the gas again, or on and off if need be and jst drift it round the corner.
Used to get my old saxo up on 3 wheels on some bends.
Like said above you have to change your driving style to how the car will handle, but when you get used to it its SO much fun
Its understeer you want to worry about, not oversteer!!

i agree with the fun but at the end of the day youhave to know your limits and also have decnt skill at driving and understand what your are doing to be able to do it "safely"

mate strip it a bit, and if you think you can cope with noise/cold etc and you like the effect it has had ont he car then strip a little more until you find what your O.K with.

if you want it to happen try putting the car into a corner with abit of speed but using no power you'll probably find the back end comes out lol
