is it that difficult to do a vtr turbo conversion , my mate done a Fiesta XR2 turbo conversion in under 2 days , this involves putting in fuel injection petrol tank , extra fuel line , abit of cutting at the x member and abit of cutting around the wiring loom !! setting up and running was the most difficult part he reacons . This was done for under a grand but i suppose maybe its cheaper because of the parts readily available from rs turbo fez's and escorts !! . When it was completed it was very quick pushing over 140 bhp on low boost .

right, my budget idea would be, well id go for a 5th injector rout and a HMT, source a nice sized turbo maybe from a diesel car make up my own manfiold fuck paying 300 for one get a cheapy intercooler kit of ebay with a bunch of boost pipes and clamps houses etc hook up some oil lines for the turbo then go from there, can be done really cheap if using shitty scrap parts lol

you can use a diesel turbo on a petrol engine but they are usaully bigger cos of the diesels huge natural compression ratio ie 22:1 you will just end up with a turbo thats to big and too laggy just buy one for a petrol engine simple..
