Default Removing and filling in the Aerial Hole

Right guys, the saxo is going to the bodyshop to have a host of things done to it... Now I'm seriously considering having it 'de-aerialed' as well whilst it's in there.

However, I don't particularly want to lose radio reception. So what are my options? what can I do to maintain some radio reception?

Ideas?

I have heard people using BMW internal aerials that go up the windscreen / rear windscreen.

did you get the aerial removed mr sayer? Its something im having done next pay day. I believe that if the bodyshop weld a plate in to fill the hole, and weld a nut on, you can then screw the aerial lead to the nut and the roof will act as an aerial.

You can just use some strong tape to tape the aerial lead to the roof.

I did this with mine all of 2 years ago when i had the respray and aerial smoothed. Since then i have only lost reception once and that was when i was in some crazy valley bit in the lake district.
Other than that theres no noticeable difference atall
