Fiat Bravo's
These any good?
Need something reliable, but sporty-ish looking.
Between this or a fiesta zetec. I prefer how the bravo looks but i dont know how reliable they are.

Not keen on them to be honest and I'm not sure an old Fiat will be all that reliable. There's always an exception of course.
What about an old Golf of some kind?

Cheap to run, parts are about on par with the sax. However keep on top of everything with a bravo.. again they're only unreliable if you make them that way. Look after the car and the car will look after you
A ZS would be more reliable true, but if you buy a dog expect it to be unreliable.

Friend has one, marmite rear end, not a fan of the front end.
Not too bad, he hasn't had any problems with his yet.
I'd get the zetec S, in imperial blue (I mean mk5 here <3) .

It was the old one I was looking at mate.
Had £1,000 budget.
Spent the day ringing various numbers about 1.2 fiesta's, clio's etc. To find out they had all sold.
Then I saw a Renault Megane 1.6 Sport coupe come up cheap. Got an insurance quote and It went up by £60 from the 1.1 Saxo quote.
Its now on my drive
Seams a great car and a very smooth drive. 68,000 miles, Immaculate paint work and not one bit of rust too. And its a 1998
