Is there something i can do to get this premium?
Im currently with admiral paying an over the top price of £176 a month, 12 month policy, 1.3 years driving and 1yr ncb for a furio.
I just curiously inserted the same details into their system as my current insurance policy and it came up with £1168.... devided by 12 = £110 give or take + admin £120 tops.
why am i paying near 180 when they are saying its only going to cost 120?
Is there any way i can get this figure without cancelling and re-insuring myself because im going to uni and wont have the car to gain the ncb when its gone so i want to keep this policy for that reason.
any ideas?
thanks

As soon as you pay monthly with admiral, they whack the price right up!
Thats why.

So yeah, it really wouldn't suprise me

my premium = £2112 (with admin fees for monthly payment)
Quoted = £1168
your saying its costing £994 to pay monthly, i remeber when i took it out it only went up a small amount, from £1500 to £1750 or somthing
something smells fishy to me..

Ive contacted them anywho, for a few things, for example i went furio > Golf (premium reduced £40) > Furio (increased £132) ??
Sent them an email saying they are c*nts and requested a quote of change of car..
Ill be lucky to get anything from it but its worth a try

The increase in premium is 30-40% for pay monthly.
And when you ask to change car, they will hike up the price because they've already got you by the bollocks they can charge what they like.
I once was paying £140/month on a VTR, changed it to a West Coast for a bit, they bumped it up to £150.

Insurance prices change every day, mine would probably be cheaper if I did a requote today.
Time you have cancelled and setup a new pay monthly policy, you likely wont save anything

Do you really expect them to phone and ask if you would like to give them less money!?
Im paying £1500 and they were wanting over £2k to pay monthly so I just borrowed money off of the family.

I dont have available family funds,
and i have requested it is revised or my business would be going elsewhere, people in companies like this get comissioned to solve problems in the least expensive way so its probably in their interest..
Tbh its worth a try
30% is not £1000 so im assuming somethings wrong or they are being greedy basterds and need to be shown that i understand it tbh

Mines the same, £1400-1800 depending on my job status etc. Paid in full.
or
£3000 pay monthly. Extra % for paying monthly, and then another few % for paying via a debit card. Fucked right?

Ive just helped my neighbour with Admiral - they wanted an extortionate amount for monthly direct debit so sorted her out with a 0% interest credit card for 12 months. 18, 0 years ncd, £1100 a year for a 1.2 clio in his name. Best I came out with
£91 a month at 18 is probably as good as it gets.

Remember Admiral love the annual premiums up front because they claim millions of pounds in interest per year instead of the monthly direct debits.
I suppose if you can borrow the money or get a 0% credit card then you can get the benefits of cheaper insurance
