whats the difference between normal unleaded petrol and premium unleaded ? and does it matter if you mix them ?

Premium is higher octane fuel, comes with engine cleaning additives in.
Standard unlead is lower octane, with less cleaning additives in.

Some engines only run on premium, others run rough on it. Doesn't matter if you mix them, but I wouldn't bother putting it in a 1.1 unless before mot day.

i let my mum borrow my car while her car was in the garage and she put premium in as thats what her car recommends so she filled the tank with it and when i went out in it just if felt really sluggish :/

Like I said some cars don't like Premium fuel what-so-ever so they run slugish, you will also have it cleaning the insides of the engine, so will be compressing effectively shite. Don't worry about it though, run it through then put standard unleaded in.

i used premium in my Corsa made it run like a bag of shite. as above try it and see how it runs.
