My Clean MK2 Golf | Beige Borbets & Lowered more ;)
I bought her about 3 months ago from an old lady, with 56k on the clock and with only 2 previous owners - I bought it for the tidy sum of £350.
Started off life looking like this:
As you can see dull grey bumpers, sat on stilts and on nasty steels....ughhh, it stayed like this for a month before I had enough, so I bought full set of coilovers and some Borbet A's
Since then I fitted an alarm and remote central locking....How did I live without it before?? and got rid of the standard air filter and fit the open cone again, nice little grunt for a 1300.
Then had enough of the front plate and someone with a shakey hand took this pic about 2 weeks ago
Next plans are to get the arches rolled so it can go lower, then in a week I will be ordering a load of suede and leather to start retrimming the interior, plans for next year is some nice new big brakes in preparation for the 2.0L 16v ABF conversion, or possibly the 2.9L VR6.

yeah i doubt id get bbs splits like a grand for wheels, i just couldnt justify it as its not going to be a show car, quite tempted by a vr6 engine..but dont want to go that route wouldnt be very economic

ABF it, easier conversion, similar power, and only a 2.0L

kewl might look into it still would rather the 20vT or the 1.9 150bhp tdi engine, the tdi ones abit 'rare' though so doubt ill find anybody who can do it for under 2.5k
would love to do a 1.4 tfsi though no doubt would be the first one
