Yeh thats alright then... just a few wires where cut on the engine side of the loom when i got the loom... Everything on the car wants to work and all the wires do... just its not starting!! so i think i need a new loom.

too much hassle if you ask me, gotta re drill the head to fit the j4 inlet, fit j4 sump, also i think you'd want to fit all the j4 head internals to bring it up to vts/gti power as iirc the jp4 engines are only 110 bhp,

J4 is the better engine realy. Poeple buy JP4s for the larger valves and alloy inlet generally.
