how much to convert from a R to a S?
as above how much is it to convert from my vtr to a vts

You provide engine i assume around 650
They provide 950
Those were something like the quotes i got from a machanic on here

If you do it yourself then about 200-300 all in including gearbox change. If its a good solid shell stick with it, as if you buy another VTS for that money whos to say its not going to be rotten

Cost me £150 for a vts shell with engine, fitted engine and sold the shell. Easy job

i converted my 1.1 to 16v for about £350. would have been less if i didn't get the 4-2-1 and lightened flywheel

Providing you can get a decent engine, or one thats proven to work..Then do it.
If not, then sack it off..Will spend the rest of its life in bits like mine.
In total its cost me 1600quid to finally get the power of a VTS.
..Because i sacked it off and bought a VTS instead. Much nicer

i think i just leave it like said get a vts for that money and you aint running any risks
i could also get a mint GT for 2k and a descent on lower prices
