Default Under Carpet Insulation

I've searched and searched to no avail but while wiring in some speakers last night I lifted the passenegr footwell and found a lot of damp, In fact it was more of a gel like gunge????

Either way not good. Anyone know where you can get replacement insulation???

Also what the source of the leak could be????

Leak could be a few things - normally sunroof seals (it runs down to the footwells).

New sounddeadening can come from any car being scrapped. Just post a wanted thread in the for sale / wanted forum area (you need 100+ posts to post in there so wait a bit ) and someone is bound to have some you can have for a few beer tokens.

Heater matrix, sunroof drains (as said before), leaky screen (highly unlikely tho) or pay the 10quid for premium and get the for sale and wanted section as well as many many many guides on how todo things!! It really is worth it!!

Cool. Thanks Chaps. I tried diggin one out of a saxo at my local scrappy but gave up when the car on top of the sax started creaking and my thoughts were "This fucking car is gonna cave in!"

I've gotta take a picture of the insulation, it's proper wierd and literally looks like it's smothered in hair gel! Needless to say I've not tried out yet!

I ripped my sound proofing out when I took carpet out.
No louder inside the car.

you can get really similar types of carpet underlay from some carpet shops. Costs like £3 a square meter

Noticed this with mine last night as well. My car always stinks of wet dog, guessing this is why!

That'd be handy. I'll have a look around. A hell of a lot easier than ripping it out of a scrapped sax. Which I may well have too.

I've had to put two air freshners on every possible bit of hanging interior that I can! I leave my car smelling like a proper fairy! But it's better than a wet dog!
