Experience days
It's my birthday tomorrow and my girlfriend just gave me one of my present which is an experience day on track in a Nissan GTR. Has anybody been on one of these? what should i expect on the day?
I know they put a limiter on the car and keep traction control on etc.
Says i get 2 laps as a passenger without limiters etc then 4-6 laps as driver dependant on the track.

Never been on one but thought i'd just chime in on this thread as my parents asked if i would like one for christmas.
Very tempting, gonna have a google if they do them in Aerial Atoms though, gtr doesnt really do it for me.

They teach you have to drift at 90mph, but be careful not to crash or they make you buy them a new car.

i did one in a lambo murcielago, as a christmas present from one of my brothers.
was such an epic car to drive.
they gave me a passenger lap in a range rover first to show the track, then i got like 4 laps in the lamborghini.
The instructor guy next to me was really chilled out, he kept on telling me to go faster through some ridiculous corners, was amazed how flat it felt, no body roll at all lol
and its the most depressing thing in the world driving home afterwards in a saxo

Did one last year. Got 3 laps in 4 different cars.
Was a bit depressing tbh, knowing you can't go as quick as you'd like too.. and constantly being told to stay under such a speed and to brake here and there.
Had more fun doing an open pit lane trackday in a 1.6..

A friend owns a Subaru experience rally track, never been on it in the Subaru but it looks mental! We use it for motocross on off days.

Went ona training course for work using a Mercedes Amg c63 (the new bi turbo version)
Just got in and got on with it, the grip and noise were mental, was allowed to upshot as hard as we wanted no rev limits or made to shift at certain revs just drive it!!
Instructor never said anything to me other than well done at the end of the track session.
Then got to take the car on a skid pan, all electronic aids off and see how long / far around the circular pan we get drift the car for.
Ended up being the top driver out of 21 on the day and told if I fancied a change from working in the showroom I could get a job as an instructor!!!
