Not sure what to do tbh, probably not standard though as it's stupidly gutless.

I've always had a soft spot for these since my aunt had one back in the day, they've got that boxy charm to them, will you be keeping the bodywork standard or have u got plans for it?

Both options sound good ideas! Although probably would be leaning to the simpler 16v less work lol

I appreciate the kind words buddy, was actually just going through your Xsi thread, hopefully the standard of work on mine will be remotely as good as on your xsi, if so I will be happy enough!

it should not be "that" slow, as they weigh sod all, 75 bhp should be ample, I know my first car as a 58 bhp diseasel was enough except for when you wanted to overtake!
personally I'd be dropping in a 1293 Rallye lump 100 bhp and lighter than the lump in there which would be Iron block afaik.
