Default Knocking when turning

As the title states however it only does it when stationary.

I have checked all ball joints all OK. Would it be the steering rack tie rods??

If so is it an easy fix??

Dont mind doing the work but needs to be done in a day.

I had this on full lock and it was the PAS pump. Hard to say without hearing the specific knock.

I've had this in my GTI

Steering rack mounting bolts were loose.

That is what I do not know.

I'd expect the inlet would have to come off to improve access. then again, chances are the bolts only need nipped up again.

I haven't investigated mine fully.

My bet is driveshaft lol, what condition are your cv boots in? If torn, then I'd suspect the driveshaft, I'm having same problem and I'm going to replace my driveshafts (probably tomorrow) although.. My boots are split on both sides so that's a 95% definete on why its making the noise for me

If it is my rack, I'd be not overly fussed lol

Knocks when stationary. Won't be driveshafts.

Will be steering rack bolts, wishbone mounts or possibly strut tops I'd say. Check it all

Since there's no reply.

I think they are T45 or 50 heads. They are at a funny angle, you should be able to get to them with a ratchet.
