Default Lamda Sensor Query

Hello all,

New to the forum so this is my first post.

I bought a 98 Saxo VTS with the intention of tracking it. It came with a full scorpion exhaust but i can see some one has cut the lambda sensor after the manifold.

I've got a new one on order and know where to put it in the exhaust but where does the other end go?

Thanks in advance

If it's a full system you'll not have a cat. Second sensor goes after the cat to read the exhaust. Since you won't have a cat you don't need the sensor plugged in. However I'm not sure it's best to cut it off completely, think its best to put a sleeve on and tuck it away.

That would explain why it's had the wires cut! Thanks

Only 3 plug cars have dual lambdas. The car in question sounds like a single plug with a single lambda sensor.

The lambda should go in the exhaust before the CAT. The loom plug for it should be near the top of the gearbox.
