damp and mould
alright
(think this is in the wrong place so if it is can you move it please)
i just bought a saxo as a project, i went to see the car and things were fine and i made a deal with the seller, two weeks later i went to collect the car and it was full of mould.
its all over the seats, carpet, dashboard, steering wheel and switches, i need it shifting
i had cleaned the thick off with interior shampoo and it was fine for a couple of days until it came back, i have put damp traps in as the carpet is damp
any advise could be great to help speed the process up
cheers

Get it under cover and keep a window open (not that it'll do much in this weather). If you can get hold of a wetvac, you could clean the seats and suck some moisture up at the same time....

You can get silica gel pack about the size of a bean bag (the type you used to throw at school not the ones you sit on). There really good, I stick a couple under the seats and it traps the moisture.

I doubt it. Even a good one will take a good few hours and they are thirsty for power.

Shame, I was going to say. The old timers used to leave a 40w lightbulb on overnight to heat the car up at night and get rid of th moisture.
Drop a bag of rice of the carpets, it will absorb the moisture.

Also, is it growing faster in one place than anywhere else in the car. May be worth while looking, if it's the case, you know where the leak is...
