I had one for a while. Not sure about parts as mines never needed any. I ran it on halfords two stroke and was fine. Bit of a pain in the arse to start in the cold but just gave it some throttle and adjusted the choke and it fired up fine.

I used to race them in a national championship!
I was 2006 Semrc Production Privateer Champion
Mine were Italian built, but most cheaper ones are Chinese, what have you bought?

Anyone have any more info on the proper mini motos? Not interested in anything Chinese but it could be fun if I get a half decent one and can find some places close to ride it.

Also, are there any that are suited to someone slightly taller? I know they're never gonna be roomy but I'm 6'2" and last time I rode one (think it was a blata? ) I couldn't get on with it till I sat just rear of the seat lol.

I had a cheap 49cc Chinese thing. (Im 6ft 1 btw carl).

It was brilliant fun, ran on cheap two stroke. In the end I seized the engine and went flying, ended up with a massive graze down my side. We had it up to 25mph downhill at one point.

I picked up a cheapy 49cc chinese mini moto dirt bike for about £15, took a few weeks to get.it working again but it was fun! Parts where fairly standard across the range of bikes and not too bad, chains for £10, bearings about £5 each etc and available on ebay. You dont want to get suckered into buying.mods, its all going to be wasted money but they are very nippy stock!

The reason I sold mine was because there is just nowhere to ride them and you will end up getting the police called on you if you ride.them anywhere illegally because they are beyond loud.

If you are going into racing them then it would be amazingly fun but you will want to sack them off for adult bikes eventually

They’re definitely cheap Chinese ones. I’m not sure of the exact model, I’ll have a look at them this week and find out for you. They’re both ratty looking plastic things, but they’re pretty nippy. We had a cheeky ride on them at the house.

Yeah, that’s the sort of thing we’re looking for. One of them doesn’t have an air filter on or anything. I’ve seen a few websites that post performance exhausts and carbs, for about £30 each. There is some crazy stuff online too, like Stage 3 racing engines for £180. Probably out of my budget for a summer project, but it would be banging to fit something like that if I ever got seriously into it.

There’s a few fields owned by a guy we know behind my parents’ house and we’re planning on riding them there, it’s a big open area so we should have a good laugh. Cheers for the advice.
